Arabic Summer Study Abroad Program in Morocco Linguistic & Cultural Immersion Program 📍 Location: Marrakech, Morocco 🌍 Arabic Khatawaat – Morocco Study Abroad Program We are thrilled to welcome you to the Arabic Khatawaat Linguistic & Cultural Immersion Program in Morocco, a transformative journey designed to deepen your understanding of the Arabic language and culture. This 3-week program combines 1 week of online classes with 2 weeks of in-person immersion in Morocco. Students will begin with online sessions to build foundational skills, followed by daily in-person Arabic classes in Marrakech and Rabat, two of Morocco’s most vibrant cultural hubs. 📚Through this experience, participants will: 🎯Engage in conversational Moroccan Arabic (Darija) with locals to explore the rich linguistic diversity of the Arab world. 🎯Participate in interactive cultural workshops, including Arabic calligraphy, Moroccan cooking classes, and guided visits to historical sites. 🎯Experience a dynamic and supportive learning atmosphere, hosted by partner institutions and local communities. 🎯Develop both Modern Standard Arabic (FusHa) and Darija skills in real-life contexts. 📚This program is specially tailored for adult learners seeking an enriching educational and reflective journey that blends language acquisition with cultural immersion. 📝 Participation Requirements 📝Adult Learners: Open to non-native speakers of Arabic. Commitment and openness to new learning environments are essential. 📝Language Assessment: A brief assessment is required to tailor instruction to each participant’s proficiency. 📝Orientation Session: Participants will attend an orientation to review program details and cultural expectations. 📝Language Usage (استعمال اللغة): Students are encouraged to use Arabic (both FusHa and Darija) as much as possible, in and out of class. 📝Cultural Sensitivity (احترام الثقافة): Respect and openness towards Moroccan customs, traditions, and norms are expected.
